How Mind Maps helped my kids win in a School Fancy Dress competition
This is time around I tried using Mind Maps for preparing the dialogues that my kids (twins: A girl & a boy, 8 yrs.) would deliver during their School Fancy Dress completion. The girl decided to be a teacher & the boy a pirate!! With some bit of help from me they could both translate their dialogues into the following creative Mind Maps.
With the structure, associations & the images clear in the mind map it was just a matter of minutes for them to feel confident about their dialogue delivery & off they went for their fancy dress competition.And finally when the result came I & wife were pleasantly surprised to find that out of the 50 odd students who took part both my kids were winners! The pirate came 3rd & the teacher 4th & thus both would soon be receiving their certificates.
Of course in Fancy Dress completion there are other parameters like the dress, dialogue content etc. but for sure the mind maps played a vital role in making them feel like winners even before the competition started!!
That’s one…no.. two more feathers in the cap of the Mind Mapping community world wide.
